Yesterday I mentioned that I had a little something to share with you all. I know you’ve all been sitting on the edge of your seats in anticipation.
I am super excited to tell you that I have written my first guest post! Yes, little ol’ me! After blogging quietly in this little corner for almost six years I have had the opportunity to branch out a bit and write a post for my friend Christen. When she asked me to write it I was so surprised. I am humbled and honored that she would trust me to share my words with her readers. Thank you, Christen!
If you are visiting today from Christen’s blog, welcome! I’m so glad you are here. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
I met Christen this past summer in a HelloMornings Twitter group. She was our group’s Accountability Captain (AC). I really appreciated her faithfulness to check in with us all and encourage us when we were struggling to get up in the mornings. Summertime can be an especially difficult time to consistently get up early because, let’s face it, summer is the perfect time to laze about and linger in bed as long as possible.

Mornings and I. We haven’t always been friends.
Up until a few years ago I never considered myself a morning person. I took great pleasure in sleeping as long as possible, but when my children were younger I realized that something had to change. On those mornings when I would stay snuggled in my bed longer than I should, I would be greeted by the sweet whispers of little voices beckoning me to get up.
Only I didn’t always think those voices were so sweet.
